ColourPop Nightmare Before Christmas Eyeshadow Palette Review
Christmas Eyeshadow Palette

ColorPop Cosmetics and Disney want you to enjoy Halloween in style this year. For the introduction of its most sought collaboration ever, the company renowned for its colorful budget-friendly cosmetics chose to draw inspiration from a classic Tim Burton picture. Now that ColourPop’s The Nightmare Before Christmas collection is available online, you can visit both Christmas Town and Halloween Town.
The collection, available online now and in Ulta stores on October 31, pays homage to some of the film’s most iconic characters via reinvented ColourPop packaging and specifically picked hues. Fans of Burton’s films may purchase an eyeshadow palette featuring black-light-activated images of the characters and lipsticks with embossed graphics.
ColourPop’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Palette Review 2022
The ColourPop Nightmare Before Christmas 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new limited edition eyeshadow palette including six matte eyeshadows, one sparkling matte eyeshadow, and five shimmering eyeshadows. Overall, they were pigmented, blendable, and long-lasting, with just one shade that I’d consider a complete miss and a few others that were a touch powdered during usage but didn’t result in a worse application. They seemed to perform consistently with ColourPop’s recipe.
The package is gorgeous and has Jack’s signature black and white stripes. Some goods include characters such as Jack, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and Zero.
The cosmetics collection for The Nightmare Before Christmas contains an eyeshadow pallet, lipstick, eyeliner, and face jewels. Everything you need to create a stunning cosmetics look.
The eyeshadow palette has 12 colors, including neutrals and neons.
Lock, Shock, and Barrel are the faces of three different sparkling eyeshadow colors.
ColourPop never disappoints with its partnerships. This Nightmare Before Christmas cosmetics set is perfect for the holiday season. And the ideal follow-up to their very successful Hocus Pocus cosmetics range.
Hot Topic has some charming Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, so I was purchasing some décor and costume items, I found this makeup palette quite attractive, so I sneaked it to try!
This isn’t an accessible blog article to write – I usually review and speak about goods that I like here, but now and then, there’s something terrible I believe I should share so you don’t make the same mistake! I know Hot Topic has some charming-looking palettes, but you should check their quality before buying them as presents or anything! Let’s have a look at this amazing Christmas makeup palette.
-
ZERO
Zero is a warm, brilliant white with a metallic gloss. The eyeshadow featured a single coat of opaque color payoff that applied evenly to bare skin and dissipated quickly around the borders. It was very airy and creamy, but a dry brush picked it up just fine. After eight hours, it had significantly faded.
-
MEANT TO BE
Meant to Be is a pale mushroom-taupe with warm undertones and a matte texture. The consistency was more velvety, thicker, and substantial, resulting in opaque color coverage that applied evenly, blended out effectively, and didn’t thin out too quickly. After eight hours, its effects were noticeably lessened.
-
DEAR FRIEND
Dear Friend is a dark mauvy brown with warm undertones and a matte texture. It was an odd color; it was mauve, taupe, and brown, but it worked best with mauves since it was too grey and subdued for most browns and too warm and not gray enough for taupes. However, it is less rosy than I expected from a mauve. I adore it when a hue refuses to fit neatly into a category!
It was easy to work with on bare skin and had very little fallout because of its opaque pigmentation, silky smooth texture, and blendability. It continued for around eight hours before dramatically diminishing.
-
IN MY BONES
IN MY BONES is a deep bluish-gray with strong, chilly undertones and a matte texture. The texture was smooth, blendable, and a little powdered, yet it had firmness and substance, ensuring opaque coverage when applied to bare skin. It lasted for eight hours before diminishing somewhat.
Have a wonderful week, everyone! Overall, I enjoyed this shadow; I wish it were a little more purple than black, but it still allows me to create intriguing effects. I’d want to attempt more cut crease looks with brights in the crease since the brighter colors complement the dark shimmer. I still have the Nightmare Before Christmas face crystals, which I’ll experiment with shortly. Especially when Euphoria looks and faces jewels are now widespread.
-
PUMPKIN PATCH
Pumpkin Patch is a light-medium yellowy peach with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. To prevent fallout, the eyeshadow featured an opaque color payoff and a somewhat thicker, denser consistency that was best applied by pressing against the skin or with a fingertip/dampened brush.
-
CHRISTMAS TOWN
Christmas Town has a glossy shine and is a vibrant, medium fuchsia pink with strong, cold blue overtones. It offered virtually opaque color coverage and a smooth, gently emollient texture that was heavier in the pan but not too thick or pushed into it. This color lasted for around eight hours before fading somewhat.
-
FROG’S BREATH
Frog’s Breath features a medium-dark plummy-brown base with duo-chrome shimmer ranging from bluish-teal to purple. The texture was emollient to the touch, smooth, and almost cream-like, with a good density that wasn’t too thick or too firmly pushed into the pan. It had a profound color payoff that lasted for eight hours before clearly fading.
-
DR. FINKELSTEIN
Dr. Finkelstein is a light-medium bluish-purple with cold undertones and a shimmery sheen. It was drier and looser in consistency, resulting in more semi-sheer to medium pigmentation that was difficult to build up. I’d suggest applying the eyeshadow with a moistened brush to have it applied more smoothly and evenly. It wore nicely for seven hours but had some mild fallout.
-
WHAT’S THIS
What’s This is a brighter, deeper orange with warm undertones and sparkles of gold micro-shimmer over a matte texture. Because the micro-shimmer was so weak, it didn’t transfer, ensuring that it didn’t contribute to fallout. The texture was quite powdery in the pan, so exercise caution while dealing with it. The color coverage was opaque, applied evenly, and lasted eight hours before fading slightly.
-
SANDY CLAWS
Sandy Claws is a medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool undertones and a matte texture. Is nearly seems like a “warm” fuchsia.) It had a beautiful color payoff with a smooth, somewhat thinner surface that wasn’t powdered or too pushed in the pan. It was applied evenly and blended out quickly around the edges. After eight hours of usage, this hue began to fade and left a small stain.
-
EVERYBODY SCREAM
Everybody Scream is a more vibrant reddish berry with cold undertones and a matte finish. It had virtually complete pigmentation and could readily develop up to full coverage with a second coat. The texture was drier and thinner than most of the brand’s matte eyeshadows these days, but this didn’t impact application since it was still blendable on bare skin. It lasted eight hours before fading somewhat and staining my lid a little after removal.
-
HALLOWEEN TOWN
Halloween Town is a matte black with neutral-to-cool undertones and bits of pink and teal micro-shimmer. To minimize the fallout, the consistency was powdery in the pan, so use a gentle touch and likely build up color. It does have complete coloration in a single layer on its own. It continued for around eight hours before dramatically diminishing.
Bottom Line
ColourPop is back with another fun and festive collaboration, with The Nightmare Before Christmas, following up on its Hocus Pocus line. The new collection, inspired by the legendary Disney and Tim Burton Halloween-meets-Christmas film, will quickly put you in the Halloween mood.
The seven-piece ensemble, wrapped in black-and-white stripes and adorned with figures Jack, Sally, Zero, and Oogie Boogie, seems to have been ripped directly from Christmas Town. Even the package has black-light-activated artwork and glitter. The collection includes lip, eye, and face cosmetics that can help you achieve a Sally-approved party look. The Nightmare Before Christmas eyeshadow palette contains 12 colors ranging from neutrals to dazzling neons, three tones of Jelly Much Shadow, three lipstick shades (including a bright pink for Sally), a face glitter, and two liquid eyeliner shades. As if that wasn’t enough to entice devoted fans, there’s also a cosmetic sponge embossed with Zero’s likeness and a sheet of face crystals to complete any Halloween & Christmas makeup look.
